Description: Rooms are medium in size, have traditional furnishings and wooden floors. The restaurant is very traditional and located on the ground floor and offers a range on local Latvian and International cuisine. The hotel is a large impressive traditional yellow brick bulding. The hotel is lit beautifully at night and when passing the hotel it becomes clear that one is entering the old town. The lobby is medium in size and has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Der Ausblick aus der 4. Etage in den Innenhof (Baustelle) war hässlich. Ein anderes Zimmer in den unteren Etagen konnte/wollte man mir nicht geben. Der permanenete Geräuschpegel einer laufenden Maschine auf dem Hof rund um die Uhr war unangenehm. Am Sonntagmorgen - Pfingsten - 12.Juni um 06:40 Uhr wurde ein weiterer Motor mit unerträglichem Lärm zusätzlich eingeschgaltet. Erst durch meine persönliche Beschwerde beim Empfang und unter Androhung, das Hotel sofort zu verlassen, wurde der Motor abgestellt. Es gab keine Entschuldigung für diese unzumutbare Störung.
