Description: Konya is the city of dervishes, and has been for 800 years. Located about three hours drive south of Ankara, it's an extremely old city, its roots going back to Hittite times. Standard room offers central air condition, TV, mini bar, telephone, hairdryer and radio. The mystical music and whirling dance of the dervishes is a regular feature most evenings at the Ozkaymak Konya. The sema is performed by real Mevlevis (followers of the great Turkish mystic Mevlana (Rumi) using authentic instruments and is the perfect complement to a day spent exploring the rich cultural treasures of the city.
